Full Body Scrub

A full body scrub uses black sand, pumice stones, digestive papaya enzymes, and glycolic acid. Once your body has been massaged with this complexion enhancing blend, we apply a layer of olecreme body milk to smooth and quench your skin. This treatment leaves your skin feeling super supple, soft, and silky. Then, to complete the relaxation process, your massage therapist gives you a full body massage. View our pricing.

The Purpose of a Full Body Scrub

The primary focus of a full body scrub is to remove dead skin cells through exfoliation, making your skin look younger and feel softer. At the same time, the process also helps to cleanse your skin. That gives you a deep clean that can make you feel like a new person. When combined with a Swedish massage, this treatment truly relaxes and rejuvenates your whole body from the outside in.

Benefits of a Full Body Scrub

By removing dead skin cells and sloughing off impurities, a full body scrub makes your skin look fresh and youthful, but this treatment also offers the following benefits:

  • Improves skin circulation
  • Reduces dullness and helps your skin achieve a healthy glow
  • Moisturizes your skin
  • Helps to boost confidence, especially if you are worried about how your skin looks

If you do self-tanning, this treatment also helps to improve that process and make your tan look more natural. Because your skin is so smooth, that allows the tanning products to go on easily. Additionally, as you’ve eliminated dead skin, you don’t have to worry about recently tanned skin shedding and making your tan look blotchy or uneven.

Full Body Scrub Versus a Body Wrap

We also offer full body wraps, and many of our clients are curious about the differences between these options. These spa treatments are similar in that they combine a rejuvenating skin treatment with a massage, but body wraps tend to focus on other benefits. Rather than exfoliation, body wraps concentrate on moisturizing, reducing stress, detoxing tissues, and restoring the balance of your system. Note, however, that some body wraps such as the sea holistic treatment also incorporate exfoliating elements.
The other difference involves the application techniques used in these spa treatments. With a full body scrub, your massage therapist applies the scrub to your skin and then washes it off with a smoothing body milk. With a wrap, the therapist wraps fragrant linens around your skin.

Complementary Treatments

Our full body scrubs are always paired with a Swedish massage, but you can also opt to upgrade to a deep tissue massage or add elements such as hot stones to your treatment. However, to give your body a truly relaxing experience, you may want to treat yourself to a facial or spend some time alone or with your partner in our relaxation rooms that include private hot tubs and saunas. We also offer a variety of spa packages so you can customize your treatment.
